Sisters Barbara Morgan and Harriet Muetzel began Our Legacy Bulldogs in 1994. While we were growing up there was always a bulldog in our home. Our grandparents, Ray and Arvesta Eglin, of Elyria, Ohio showed and bred bulldogs in the 1940’s and 50’s and our name and undertaking were in memory of them.
The Edwards line is our foundation and our first show bulldog was purchased from Barb Edwards. His name was CH Edwards’ I’ll Be Jiggered, affectionately known as Jiggs. Jiggs was dearly loved and became our first champion, but unfortunately died unexpectedly at just two years of age. We were also honored and blessed to show and co-own CH Edwards’ Lady Guinevere, “Vera,” with Barb Edwards. Vera became our foundation bitch and had a long and wonderful life, producing six beautiful champions. Her kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids are a joy to us today.

In 2001, Karyn Simmons purchased Vera’s son, CH Legacy Hot Now Henry, “Henry,” from us. Karyn diligently trained and skillfully showed Henry to his championship and she soon became the third member of the Our Legacy team. With Harriet’s passing in 2009, Barb and Karyn dedicate the mission of Our Legacy Bulldogs to her, as well as our grandparents.
The goal of our breeding program is to produce outstanding, healthy dogs with sweet and lovable temperaments. Bitches are bred selectively to the finest and most compatible stud dogs. Our puppies are hand raised in the home with lots of love and attention and receive the best veterinary care available. Please take a look around our site, read about our philosophy, standards, and accomplishments, and enjoy the pictures of past and present Legacy bulldogs. Barb Morgan 440-225-9377 bullybarb@aol.com |
