Our family has had standard Aussies for 17 years, I started raising mini's seven years ago. My nine year old son has always been right there helping. We give them lots of love and play time. They are raised around other animals, horses, cows and lots of cats. They are family and farm raised. All our dogs are NSDR registered, my farm is also a member of MASCA. All eyes are clear, shots are a must, monthly worming and regular vet check ups. All dogs hips are getting certified through OFA and so far are rated excellent.

The Miniature Australian Shepherd is a smaller version of the Australian Shepherd. The ideal size for the miniature dog is 13 to 18 inches tall at the withers; usual weight is between 15 and 35 pounds. Toy Aussies are any aussie under 13".

An identifying characteristic of Miniature Australian Shepherds is the natural or docked bobtail. They possess a medium length coat, with an undercoat, and rarely smell "doggy". The Aussie's temperament is reserved with strangers; however, they warm up quickly and are loving and playful with owners and guests.

Minitaure Australian Shepherds excel in herding, flyball, agility, and Frisbee. Aussies are very easily trained with positive reinforcement and can be fabulous competitors in the obedience ring. These dogs truly do have an addictive personality and it is true.
